Biography:
Harold Elmore was born on February 11, 1942 in Andalusia, ALabama. He is a graduate of Florala High School, Class of 1962.After graduation, he attended Alabama Christian College for one year,.He then made the decision to return home to help his father, James Clairborne Elmore, attend their extensve family farm. He successfully farmed for forty years, and upon his retirement, decided to pursue a political career. He had always wanted to be a road commissioner and won his first election in 2004. He enjoys serving the people and looking for ways to better our community. Harold is currently serving in his second term as a democratic commissioner.
Harold has been an active member of Judson Baptist Church since 1955 where he also serves the community as a deacon in the church.
Harold married the former Ferrolyn Hart, and they have two children: Jason Harold Elmore and Ashley Elmore Carter. They enjoy spending time with family and friends, and especially their six grandchildren: Trenton, Collin, and Lily Elmore, Aspen and Alden Carter, and Jacob Hawkins.
