Biography:
David Ellis was initially elected to the Covington County Commission in November, 2008. He was elected Vice Chairman at the commission organization meeting on November 12, 2008.
Ellis has been married to the former Candace Jones for 35 years. They have 2 children, Cory David, & Chad James Ellis. He is the son of John F. Ellis, Sr. and Peggy Danley Ellis. David and Candace have 4 grandchildren – Peyton, Reid, Brody and Georgia. He is a graduate of Opp High School (Class of 1970), attended LBW Junior College and recently completed American's Best Realty School. His career consists of working as distribution manager and buyer of Danley Furniture, retired owner of Danley Furniture, Opp, Alabama, and presently Real Estate Agent for Metcalf & Metcalf Real Estate, Inc.
